In many societies, educational systems have resisted social change for decades. However, the new millennium has seen increasing pressures that, if ignored, could lead to a complete collapse of the system such as acceleration of changes in job market and skills requirements, dramatic changes in the virtual world and emergence of phenomena such as artificial intelligence, negative influence of political systems, immigration & cultural diversity, and increasing social inequalities. Meanwhile, the Middle East faces a more complex situation, a region that has witnessed political conflicts, war & violence, and all types of social inequalities for decades. This situation shows that schools and teachers have failed to teach and promote peace, mutual understanding and learning from others to the younger generation.

Accordingly, the main goal of the "Fourth International Conference on Comparative Education (FICCE) " is to analyze current educational policies and transfer experiences by creating a common vision of the future of educational systems. We hope that the conference can create an opportunity for the exchange of knowledge and experiences among policymakers, researchers, teachers and other stakeholders to examine the state of education systems at three levels of national, regional and international.

The Comparative Education Society of Iran (CESIR), as one of the newest members of the “World Council of Comparative Education Societies (WCCES) " is honored to have the support of WCCES in organizing the conference. We look forward to the participation of members of this council who are interested and hope this conference will provide a unique opportunity to examine common challenges, introduce new innovations and build a  bright future for a sustainable, inclusive, and equity-oriented education system

The “Fourth International Conference on Comparative Education" with the main topic of "Educational System: Rethinking Policies and Alternative Futures" will be held by Alzahra University, Tehran on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 25-27 November 2025. Wednesday is dedicated solely to workshops and Thursday & Friday to the conference programs (lectures and panels). The Board of Directors of the CESIR hopes to witness the active participation of respected researchers and comparativists in this international event.
