The Comparative Education Society of Iran (CESIR) was founded in 2015 by ten prominent experts in various fields of education and university professors. Over the past decade, the Association has successfully held three international conferences, published an English-language journal with an emphasis on introducing developments in the Iranian education system, and held numerous meetings and workshops across the country. The CESIR has also been able to provide consulting and evaluation services to the Ministry of Education. The Comparative Education Society of Iran (CESIR) has also succeeded in join ing the membership of the World Council of Comparative Education Societies (WCCES) in 2024. Goals Introducing and developing the science of comparative education in Iran Familiarizing Iranian specialists, teachers, policymakers and educational planners with global developments in education Familiarizing specialists, teachers, policymakers and educational planners around the world with the Iranian educational system Expanding education for peace and understanding between nations, especially in the Middle East region Activities 1. Publishing the Iranian Journal of Comparative Education in English 2. Inviting experts from other countries of the world 3. Holding international & national conferences 4. Holding scientific and research workshops 5. Providing advice to the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Iran and research institutions 6. Evaluating upstream documents and research projects of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
